Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy

Effected 1/12/2026

Revelation Overland Adventures offers a variety of products, services, and adventure experiences that may be purchased through our online store. Depending on the item or service selected, different purchase, payment, cancellation, and refund terms may apply.

This policy explains the options available for changing or canceling purchases made through Revelation Overland Adventures.

Purchase Options

Depending on the product or service, you may be offered one or more of the following purchase options:

Products & Merchandise

Physical products may be purchased through our online store and may be subject to the payment, shipping, return, and refund terms provided with the applicable product or in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Payment is generally due in full at the time of purchase unless another payment option is specifically offered.

Adventure Bookings

Adventure experiences, tours, expeditions, rentals, events, and other scheduled services may require a deposit or payment in full at the time of booking.

If a deposit is accepted, the remaining balance will be due according to the payment schedule provided at the time of booking.

A reservation is not considered fully confirmed until the required payment or deposit has been received.

Payment Plans

Certain adventures, products, or services may be eligible for a payment plan or installment arrangement.

When a payment plan is offered, the amount and due date of each payment will be disclosed before purchase. Customers are responsible for completing all scheduled payments by the applicable due dates.

Failure to make a required payment may result in cancellation of the reservation or order and may result in forfeiture of amounts already paid, subject to the applicable cancellation terms.

Pre-Orders

When available, Revelation Overland Adventures may offer pre-orders for products, equipment, merchandise, or other items that are not yet available for immediate shipment.

A pre-order may require full payment, a partial deposit, or authorization of a payment method at the time of purchase.

Estimated availability or shipping dates are provided in good faith and may change due to circumstances outside our control.

Customers may cancel a pre-order before fulfillment, subject to any terms specifically stated for that product or promotion.

Once a pre-order has shipped or been fulfilled, the applicable return and refund policy will apply.

Subscriptions

If Revelation Overland Adventures offers subscription products or services, the applicable subscription will renew according to the duration and frequency selected at the time of purchase.

Payment information may be securely stored and charged according to the subscription schedule.

Customers may cancel a subscription according to the cancellation instructions provided with the subscription. Cancellation will prevent future charges where applicable, but does not automatically provide a refund for payments already processed unless otherwise stated in the applicable refund policy.

Cancellation of Adventure Bookings

Adventure bookings may involve advance commitments for guides, transportation, lodging, permits, equipment, meals, reservations, and other third-party services. For this reason, cancellation terms may differ from those applicable to ordinary retail purchases.

The cancellation terms applicable to your specific adventure will be provided during the booking process and may include a non-refundable deposit or cancellation fee.

Unless different terms are specifically stated for your adventure, cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible and may be subject to the following general guidelines:

  • More than 60 days before departure: A refund may be available, less any non-refundable deposits, third-party costs, processing fees, or other expenses that cannot be recovered.
  • 30–59 days before departure: A partial refund or credit may be available, less applicable non-refundable costs and cancellation fees.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: Payments may be non-refundable.
  • Within 14 days of departure, no-show, late arrival, or early departure: Payments are generally non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

These timeframes are general guidelines. The cancellation terms displayed or provided for the specific adventure at the time of purchase will control if they differ from this general policy.

Rescheduling an Adventure

Customers may request to reschedule an adventure, subject to availability.

Rescheduling is not guaranteed and may be subject to:

  • A rescheduling fee;
  • Difference in the price of the new date;
  • Additional third-party costs;
  • Restrictions associated with the original booking.

Requests to reschedule should be made as early as possible.

Cancellation or Changes by Revelation Overland Adventures

Revelation Overland Adventures reserves the right to cancel, postpone, modify, or reschedule an adventure when necessary due to weather, safety concerns, trail or road conditions, natural disasters, government restrictions, mechanical issues, insufficient participation, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel an adventure, we will communicate the available options to affected customers. Depending on the circumstances, those options may include rescheduling, a credit, or a refund of eligible amounts paid.

Refunds may be limited by amounts already committed to or retained by third-party providers.

Weather & Safety

Adventure travel involves conditions and circumstances that may be unpredictable. We reserve the right to modify routes, schedules, activities, or other aspects of an adventure when reasonably necessary for the safety of participants, guides, staff, or equipment.

Changes made for safety or operational reasons do not automatically constitute a cancellation by Revelation Overland Adventures.

No-Shows, Late Arrivals & Early Departures

Customers who fail to arrive for a scheduled adventure, arrive after the scheduled departure time, or voluntarily leave an adventure before its scheduled completion are generally not entitled to a refund or credit.

Customers are responsible for arriving at the designated meeting location at the required time.

Retail Returns & Refunds

For physical products purchased through our online store, returns and refunds are governed by the applicable product terms and our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Certain products may be final sale, non-returnable, personalized, used, or otherwise subject to special return conditions. Any such restrictions will be disclosed where applicable.

Trip Insurance

For adventure bookings involving significant travel expenses, customers are encouraged to consider appropriate travel or trip-cancellation insurance. Revelation Overland Adventures is not responsible for losses that may be covered by a customer's travel insurance policy.

How to Cancel

To request a cancellation, customers should contact Revelation Overland Adventures using the contact information provided on our website or in their order or booking confirmation.

Cancellation requests should include the customer's name, order or reservation number, and the product or adventure being canceled.

The date on which the cancellation request is received will generally be used to determine the applicable cancellation terms.

Acceptance of These Terms

By completing a purchase or booking with Revelation Overland Adventures, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to the purchase, payment, cancellation, and refund terms applicable to that product or service.

Where specific terms are presented during checkout, booking, or purchase, those terms will govern in the event of a conflict with this general policy.

Revelation Overland Adventures reserves the right to update this policy from time to time. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase will generally apply to that purchase, subject to applicable law.
